Who are We?

ISKCON — the International Society for Krishna Consciousness is a worldwide spiritual movement founded in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Rooted in the ancient Vedic traditions of India, it invites people of all backgrounds to explore the path of bhakti-yoga the yoga of love and devotion — through kirtan, sacred scripture, and the joyful sharing of prasadam.

With over 600 temples in more than 100 countries, ISKCON’s doors are open to everyone because the path of devotion belongs to all souls.

ISKCON Fredericton began humbly in 2019 as a small home program, rooted in devotion and community spirit. By 2022, it had grown into a registered non-profit organization. In 2020, the city witnessed its first ever Ratha Yatra, a joyful festival of chariots that touched countless hearts.In 2024, the Gopal Vedic School was established, nurturing the next generation in Vedic values and culture. And in 2025, the Food for Life program was launched, extending Krishna’s mercy through free, wholesome meals to those in need.

From a living room to a growing spiritual family, this is just the beginning. 🙏
